The grounds are so favourably situated that they are the first in Stellenbosch to welcome the morning sun. Hence the name De Morgenzon. Their total of 55 hectares of vineyards lies between 200 and 400 m above sea level. Thanks to the proximity of the ocean, there is a relatively cool climate, which allows the grapes to retain sufficient freshness and fruit aromas.
