Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Rare U-Boat War Badge, By Paul Maybauer United Republic of Lamond Fils on the inside(U Boot Kriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaid by a central U Boat superimposed over a hollow void the reverse with a barrel hinge and narrow vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with LDO code L 13 for Pau Meybauer, Berlin, measuring 47. 72 mm (w) x 38. 86 mm
