Early 20th Century Wooden Advertising Thermometer crop MM - C-8564 - 041124c. 1910s 1920s; mfd. by Dorfmann Bros. for J. L. Taylor & Co. New York Chicago Antique painted wood advertising thermometer. This piece advertises a tailoring and garment company that operated in both New York and Chicago in the first part of the 20th century. It features a carved, recessed border and painted graphics with a mercury tube that appears to be reactive enough to give an accurate reading. Exhibits minor signs of wear including some
