Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular laurel and oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich August III, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, the reverse bearing central raised dates 1914
