Lemon scented of small bell shaped white flowers in singles or pairs dangle from the leave axils in late spring are followed by dark blue purple fruit seeds. Best grown in part shade and rich moist well drained soils. Tolerates full shade and both wet and dry soils. Unlike the native species, Fragrant
