Italy, Kingdom. A 11th Army Commemorative Cross United Republic of measuring 100 mm in length(Croce commemorativa dell'11a armata). Instituted in 1943. In bronze gilt with red and black enamels, obverse illustrating the 11th Army insignia, reverse hallmarked with a crown, maker marked "G. MORI" and inscribed "VEEMENZA e TENACIA 16 NOVEMBRE 1940 XIX", measuring 40. 5 mm (w) x 40. 7 mm (h), fine chipping evident in the the black enamels along the edge of the arm at 6 o'clock, contact marks overall, original ribbon, very fine.
